        Many ancient Chinese paintings were based on nature, they included pictures of fictional and actual plants, animals and landscapes.

  Beliefs of Ancient China-
  Beliefs about nature began the beliefs of Daoism,Confucianism and Buddhism. Daoism is about the passing from the mortal state to the afterlife and it accepts nature and its mysteries. Confucianism believed that man is inherently good and the way to achieve a peaceful community was with respect and obedience.Buddhism hope to obtain excellence in their present life with the goal of achieving freedom from human suffering and desires.

Nature-
  Ancient China created  paintings based on nature because it played such an important role on their culture. Plants provided the Chinese with food medicine and some plants were believed to provide a longer life span. Landscapes were painted because mountains were filled with the sacred power of nature's necessary energy.
